The 1955 production run was the second best in Ford history, and its success was largely attributed to the beautiful design of the various Fairlane models. Most notable, the Plexiglas topped Skyliner was a major showroom attraction, and it continues to wow the crowds today. As seen on this Torch Red and Snowshoe White example, the Skyliner is still stunning to behold. A very high point restoration was performed on this Ford, which shows a great paint finish on a straight body and excellent door and panel fit. The trim and stainless is top-notch, along with the well-appointed interior and trunk. Features include Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, a Magic-Aire system, a pushbutton radio, and a Continental kit. The underside is equally well done with proper finishes. There are hardly any signs of use on this showstopper. Among the many quality automobiles in the collection, this Skyliner shines as one of the finest.
