With superb looks that bear a striking resemblance to the legendary Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, the 365 GTC/4 offers both exceptional comfort and stunning performance. With more cabin space due to its elongated chassis, the GTC/4 can accommodate four passengers and their luggage and whisk them all away in quintessential Italian style. Impressively outfitted with ZF power steering, power brakes, a radio, and sumptuous Italian leather, the 365 GTC/4 was purpose-built to carry people across continents at speed and in total comfort. Approximately 500 examples were produced, making it much rarer than both its predecessor and the Daytona itself.

This 365 GTC/4, chassis no. 14891, was delivered new to Bill Harrah's Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada. It is believed that the car was kept by Harrah himself as personal transportation. If so, this car is likely the July 1972 Road & Track magazine road test car, with the full test featured inside, making this a particularly interesting and significant example.

The car was later recorded as being owned by Paul Exton of Eureka, California, while still sporting its original color combination of Grigio Argento over Nero Cogolo with red inserts and was at this time still referred to as the Road & Track test car. It remained on the West Coast until at least 1985, when it was purchased by Dan Harwitz of Miami, Florida. By this time, it was described as sporting Azzurro Metallizzato paintwork with a new black leather interior.

In May of 2011, the car was purchased by Mario Bernardi of Hann-Münden, Germany. During his ownership, the car was fully restored and refinished in Azzurro Metallizzato. It returned to the U.S. in 2013 where it was purchased by a New York-based collector, who commissioned Autosport Designs of Huntington Station, New York, to reupholster the interior in elegant Blue leather with matching blue carpets.

Chassis no. 14891 has been maintained and serviced by Autosport Designs for the last several years and is in excellent running condition. Recently, it received a full mechanical service and was fitted with a gear reduction starter for trouble-free starting. More recently, the car has been fitted with newly refinished Borrani wire wheels shod with brand-new Michelin XWX tires. It has also received new suspension components, including the Ferrari-accepted replacement of the rear load levelers with Koni coil-over suspension units at this time, and was given a full chassis and undercarriage detail. The car is accompanied by a file of service and restoration documentation from throughout its life.

Considered by many to be the most practical iteration of the famed Ferrari Daytona, the 365 GTC/4 combines aggressive Ferrari beauty and the iconic Colombo V-12 with exceptional practicality. Easily capable of taking to the open road for long-distance tours at speed, this 365 GTC/4 is a wonderful and highly usable example of the breed.
