  • Beautiful, comprehensive, multiple award-winning restoration
  • Numerous award winner, including AACA Junior and Senior First Prize
  • A fine example in every important regard

Debuted in prototype form at the 1956 Turin Salon, the production Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider remained true to its sporting nature, with a slightly shortened wheelbase and neat, elegant Pinin Farina styling, coupled with an 80-hp, 1,290-cc four-cylinder engine. Its basic appearance would continue for nearly a decade, before being replaced by the equally iconic Duetto.

The example offered here was restored under the supervision of its previous owner in 2011, in the correct color of Alfa Red, applied using a two-stage process to correctly repaired monocoque steel bodywork. Numerous NOS parts were sourced from the Alfa Stop of Belford, England; all rubber seals and bushings were replaced; and all hardware was either zinc or cadmium plated, or replaced with stainless steel, including an all-new windshield. The original engine was replaced with a slightly earlier, correct block, fully overhauled, blueprinted, and dyno-tuned by marque specialists Glynn Motorsports of Rowley, Massachusetts, while the gearbox and rear axle were both found to be in fine condition. The original engine block is also included. The braking system was also completely replaced.

The car won numerous awards, including AACA Junior and Senior First Prizes, a Grand National Award, and National Award nominations in both 2011 and 2012, before joining the collection of its current owners in 2013. It has been scrupulously maintained and is now offered with receipts and documentation. This exceptional Alfa Romeo Spider is the finest of its kind available today.
