Please note that this lot is titled as a 1988.

Ferrari's Testarossa not only offered a step forward in terms of styling, but also improved on all aspects of the outgoing Berlinetta Boxer models. The engine produced 40 more horsepower than that of the 512 BBi, helping the Testarossa accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 5.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 mph. Its dramatic side strakes that ran along the side of the car helped to channel air into the dual rear-mounted radiators, which kept both the engine and cabin from overheating. By 1988, the single "Flying Mirror" had long been replaced with more conventional dual mirrors, and the center lock wheels were changed for five-bolt pattern wheels halfway through that model year.

This Testarossa was built in 1988, to the later half-year specification with the more desirable wheels, and was delivered in traditional Rossa Corsa over a tan interior. Having only covered 990 miles since being delivered, perhaps the best story this Testarossa has to tell is still unwritten.

If one lusted after a Testarossa in the '80s or had a poster of it on their wall, but did not have the ability to put a new one in their garage, now is their chance. With its books and tools included, and the all-important timing belt service completed in 2015, this car is just as ready to be shown at Ferrari club events as it is to be driven on one's favorite road.
