The 560 SEL offered here was acquired by its current owners brand-new from Autohaus, Inc., of Dallas, Texas, on 27 April 1987, finished in Black (040) over Grey leather (278) interior, with optional orthopedic seats, floor mats, and pinstriping, as noted in the original sales and delivery paperwork. It was gently driven just over 3,100 actual miles and regularly registered through 1996, before being retired to the owner’s private collection, alongside his antique and special interest automobiles, and has remained tucked away ever since. Only recently emerging, it is almost certainly one of the lowest-mileage examples of this model to be found, and would be a fascinating addition to any modern Mercedes-Benz stable.
