For 1941, its third year of production, the Mercury received all-new styling and additional engineering improvements. The body was dressed with a longer hood and front fenders, crowned by an impressive sharply vee’d grille. Underneath, the chassis was lengthened by four inches in wheelbase and featured additional refinements over previous years. The attractive overall package has led to this year being a favorite of Mercury collectors, especially the Club Convertible, which at $1,100 was among the most costly and, therefore, rarest models available – and is the most prized today.

This example, offered from its long-term home in a distinguished East Coast collection, is a handsome older restoration in beautiful Capri Blue over dark blue upholstery with a tan top. It is equipped with numerous desirable accessories, including the rare Columbia two-speed rear axle, dual exhaust, dashboard-mounted radio and clock, a heater, fog lights, DeLuxe bumper guards, and whitewall tires. As the owner has enjoyed driving and touring in the car over the years, it has also been equipped with an aftermarket electric fuel pump and, for ease of operation, dual reverse lights.
