On 30 July, RM Sotheby’s concluded its Online Only: Open Roads, North America auction, which comprised 92 motor cars offered alongside ten lots of automobilia and generated $2,879,135 in total sales.

The online collector car auction saw bidders participate from 26 countries, with 28 percent bidding with the auction house for the first time. Fittingly, the top sale slot for the North American auction was snagged by an all-American 2005 Ford GT, which brought $291,500. One of 477 finished in White with full stripes for 2005, the one-owner Ford goes to its next caretaker desirably equipped with all four available options and showing just 1,929 miles from new. Taking the top second and third top sale slots was a 1994 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II ‘Bianco Perlato’, one of just 365 examples built and previously owned and restored by two-time World Rally champion Massimo “Miki” Biasion, at $137,500; and a 1956 Jaguar XK 140 MC Roadster, fitted with its numbers-matching engine and head and comprehensively restored in 2019, which sold for $132,000.
