This exceptional lot features a unique selection of railroading memorabilia from the "New York Central" train station. The highlight of the lot is an original shoe shine station that remains in excellent, original condition. It is a large piece that was reportedly used in NYC's Grand Central Station and accommodates up to three adults. It features the original hardware throughout, as well as the original marble, and measures approximately 93 inches wide, 40 inches deep, and 72 inches tall. Other pieces in the lot include a turnstile, teller window grates, some reproduction and original small signs, a large, modern, custom-built illuminated railroad crossing sign, several appropriately attired mannequins, and a wall-mounted U.S. Mail drop box.
