Presented in this lot are a host of unique pieces, including a Koken barber's chair, a child's barber chair, a Sanitas towel sterilizer, numerous, original barber shop collectables, an original porcelain sign, and several mannequins. Additionally, the façade of the building is also included in the sale. The child's chair is manufactured by the Emil J. Paidar Company and is finished in white with black leather seating and a head rest; it measures 44 inches tall, 29 inches deep, and 21 inches wide. The adult chair is a fully-restored Koken example, also white with black buttoned leather, and adorned with extensive brightwork. The chair measures 52 inches tall, 43 inches deep, and 29 inches wide. The Sanitas Sterilizer unit measures 64 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and 16 inches deep and appears to be a highly original piece. The sign is a small, standard flange barber shop piece in original condition and accompanies the small collectables, memorabilia, and mannequins also included. Please note that this lot will require professional removal from the premises at the buyer's expense. Prospective bidders are encouraged to inform themselves as to the logistics of said dismantling, its cost, and to speak with an RM Auctions specialist for further details. Note: Lot does not include exterior barber poles appearing in photo.
