Triumph’s 3TA marked its re-entry into the 350-cc market in 1957 and also introduced the bodywork that would soon spread to the other models. Compared to the 500- and 600-cc motorbikes, the 3TA returned outstanding 70-mpg economy, which is even more of a consideration today.

This matching-numbers 3TA from 1958 was restored by an enthusiast in 2009, which included the engine being rebuilt. It has recently been fettled to make it roadworthy after some time in storage, and it comes with a new MoT. While not completely original, this is a very nice motorbike in attractive colours. We are informed the 350-cc engine runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly. The bike also comes with some invoices for previous work, an original handbook and the UK V5C logbook. Unmistakably a member of the Triumph family, this 3TA must be considered a good starter bike for the classic enthusiast.
