Koenigsegg’s Agera S was developed in 2012 specifically for markets where the biofuels necessary for maximum power output in the Agera R weren’t available. New engine mapping brought about a maximum power output of 1,040 bhp, making it the first Koenigsegg to make over 1,000 bhp on 95 octane pump gasoline. Another innovation introduced for the first time on the Agera S was Koenigsegg’s AirCore hollow carbon fibre wheels. Tipping the scales at 40% less than a traditional alloy wheel, this resulted in a massive saving in unsprung weight. Koenigsegg was the first manufacturer to offer carbon fibre wheels for a roadgoing automobile. Only five examples were built predominantly for the Asian market, with four of the five cars built in RHD configuration, including the car offered here.

Dubbed “Hundra” by Koenigsegg, this particular Agera S is the 100th Koenigsegg built by chassis number, a true milestone moment for the manufacturer. Boasting bare carbon fibre bodywork, this would be the first Koenigsegg to sport 24-carat gold leaf accents, which would become a popular option on many Koenigseggs that followed. Spotting those innovative AirCore wheels with gold accents, the theme carries through to the interior which is trimmed in black Alcantara with gold stitching.

First shown to the public on Koenigsegg’s stand at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the car was displayed at Top Marques Monaco the following month before being delivered new to its first owner in Hong Kong. Remaining in storage and never road registered in Hong Kong, the car was later sold to an owner in New Zealand and registered on the number plates “HUNDRA” in 2018. Acquired by its current owner in Germany in 2022, the car presents beautifully throughout having been driven just 2,572 km from new at the time of cataloguing.

Offered from an exceptional collection of modern hypercars, the Agera S “Hundra” holds a special place in Koenigsegg history, a milestone car for a truly fascinating and highly innovative company.
