Length: 12 in.

This unique, parcel-gilt, sterling silver model of Mother Gun, the 1927 Bentley Le Mans racing car, sits on an ebonized wood base with a fitted glass cover. The model is extensively hallmarked by ML Winter, London, and, as indicated by one of two silver engraved plaques fitted to the base, was presented to HRH Prince Michael of Kent in 1998. A second engraved plaque outlines Mother Gun’s victory at the Millbrook High Speed Circuit, where it achieved the “United Kingdom Class ‘B’ Standing Start 1000 Miles Record” at a speed of 104.49 mph. The model has been exhibited at such distinguished events as London’s Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths’ Supermodels Exhibition in 2001, further distinguishing its importance to the collector car community. This is a nicely detailed, highly presentable example in virtually new condition, complete with glazed display case and fitted leather travelling case.
