Arguably one of the most dramatic motor-racing posters of the post-war period, this rare piece of automotive history is the only known example in large format. Created by Géo Ham, a working pseudonym for Georges Hamel, the poster depicts the 12 Hour International Race in 1954.

The sense of drama is heightened by Géo Ham’s depiction of the scene at night, as the powerful headlamps of the Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and Ferrari lance into the track’s darkness while a blaze of light from the grandstands hurtles towards the viewer.

This poster had a slight tear and minor blemishes that have since been restored, but is otherwise in very good condition and is archival linen-mounted, framed to edge, and glazed under UV-resistant Perspex.
