Orgelbaumeister Hofbauer (Göttingen, Germany)

This clever portable instrument can make anyone an accomplished player of the button accordion. As one pumps the bellows in and out, the mechanism plays the accordion automatically from digital cassettes, five of which are included, with a total of 75 tunes. Named after the antique Tanzbär (Dancing Bear) player accordions, it remains in original but very presentable condition. In recent times there has been much collector interest in acquiring and then demonstrating many varieties of modern small automatic instruments such as this and also hand-cranked organs. Often these are used in "organ rallies" in America sponsored by the Carousel Organ Association of America (C.O.A.A.) and also in Europe, such as at an annual event in Waldkirch. 18x12x8 inches.
