Motorcycle manufacturers had proliferated throughout the United States, yet Harley Davidson continued to be at the forefront of the motorcycle business. The famous Harley-Davidson logo; the Bar and Shield, was patented in 1911. The "Silent Grey Fellow" set a high standard. This belt-drive, single cylinder (engine number 3211A), was purchased by its current owner in 1979 from Movie World: Cars of Stars and Planes of Fame Museum in Buena Park, CA. It has recently undergone a fresh cosmetic restoration in the colors shown and includes fresh brightwork, some of which is finished in chrome.
