Special 500cc with duel port, four valve single cylinder engine. Rudge-Whitworth experimented with a variety of valve arrangements across a range of 250, 350 and 500cc models, and by the mid-1930s had standardized with the 500 Special employing a parallel 4-valve head layout and the Ulster a parallel/semi-radial combination. A compact machine with a willing engine and powerful linked brakes, the 500 Special is a delight to ride and copes easily with present-day. This example is a very nicely restored motorcycle and is reported to be an excellent running machine. Very rare British classic selling on a bill of sale and without reserve.
