What is striking about this collection of W.O. photographs, many of which were taken either at his home, at commemorative events or with his Bentley, is the complete change in his persona, devoid of the considerable stress associated with Bentley Motors and an escape from regular crises.
“My idea of heaven has always been to take a car across the Channel and drive along those incomparable roads to the south and the Mediterranean sun.” W.O. The Autobiography, p. 118. Many of these photographs are testimony to his heaven.
