W.O. Bentley’s racing policy was instrumental, a means to an end. ‘The best way of selling motor cars is through racing success’. This mantra finds expression at Brooklands in 1921. Three Race Cards denote the first three wins for the trailblazing Bentley 3-Litre driven by W.O. Bentley and Frank Clement. Whit Monday 16 May 1921, the Whitsun Junior Sprint Handicap and the first-ever Bentley victory (oil stain on front cover), the June Junior Sprint Handicap, 25 June and the first 90 mph Short Handicap held on 1 August.
