This lot consists of three grouped items gifted to Graham Hill by the President of Mexico, Gustavo Diaz Ordaz.

First are two coins with a ‘gold’ appearance in a small case with a brass plaque. Given to Graham Hill by the Mexican president Gustavo Diaz Ordaz at the VII Gran Premio de Mexico in 1968.

Second is a coin with a ‘gold’ appearance in a small case bearing the following inscription: “Gustavo Diaz Ordaz – Presidente De La Republica – IX Gran Premio De Mexico – 25 October 1970. Hill received this having competed at the Grand Prix that year.

Third is a commemorative set of 7 coins/tokens from the 1968 Summer Olympics that was held by Mexico. They are accompanied by a moulded display case and brass plaque inscribed with: "Del Presidente de la Republica Gustavo Diaz Ordaz – VII Gran Premio de Mexico – Noveiembre de 1968.” Hill was given these following his victory in Mexico and it is likely they were given to him due to the Olympics being held earlier that summer.
