This motorcycle comes with an old Italian title.

Est. 8 hp, 125 cc two-stroke single.

With the revival of the Motogiro d’Italia, more as a touring event than an all-out race, a new market has sprung up for small, 1950s Italian motorcycles. Of particular desirability are Ducati, MV Agusta, Gilera and Moto Guzzi, but Parilla, Benelli and Mondial are sought after too. In fact, Ferrari and Maserati bikes are of interest as well, the latter of which is attributed to Ida of the Orsi family, who owned the name and produced the motorcycles. She was given the right to the logo in 1953 and made a deal with Italmoto, who changed its name and built quite a handsome little two-stroke single from 1953-59.

This charming Maserati is very well presented, the subject of a restoration some years ago, but it remains fresh in presentation with excellent paintwork and chrome. A Maserati nameplate is mounted to the front mudguard, and the bike sits on a set of alloy wheel rims. This is certainly a perfect opportunity for the Maserati devotee and a unique piece that is sure to round out any complete collection of the marque’s road and racing cars.
