Of all of the cars that are offered in the showrooms of the United States, only the owners of the mighty Corvette are well known for their custom of waving to other Corvette owners as they travel America’s highways and boulevards. However this tradition started, the Corvette owner has always known that the machine they drive is something special. The Corvette will bring out the driver in you; enticed by its styling, mechanical capabilities and a bucket seat interior that is contoured to specifications unseen in most cars.
The 1973 Corvette was the sixth production year of the C3 generation. This is the first Corvette to feature a mandated five miles per hour front bumper. The front bumper was no longer a chromed metal stamping, instead a molded urethane cover painted to match the body, yet still sporting the chrome rear bumpers, making this a one-year-only specification. The rear window was no longer removable, there was the addition of an air induction hood and steel rails in the doors for additional safety protection. New body mounts and improved acoustical material provided a smoother, quieter driving experience.
This Mille Miglia Red T-top coupe has a rich tan-colored interior and is powered by a 350-cid V-8 engine that is teamed with a desirable four-speed manual transmission. Fun to drive; this example is generously optioned with air conditioning, power windows, power steering and power four-wheel disc brakes. Make everyday driving a bit more fun and turn your weekend excursions into a vacation at the wheel of America’s sports car.
