A charming promotional poster featuring wonderful Art Deco artwork by Millar, this beautiful, framed lithograph promotes a General Motors display at the famous Hotel Astor in New York City. The event was held 7 to 11 January 1929, with the exhibit taking over the entire ground floor of the famed hotel. There, General Motors proudly displayed numerous company offerings from its various brands, including Buick, Cadillac, LaSalle, Oakland, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac, in addition to GM and Chevrolet Trucks, a Yellow Cab, and even Frigidaire refrigerators. It also featured a detailed miniature replica of GM’s state-of-the-art proving grounds located outside of Detroit.
This original lithograph was printed by Edwards & Deutsch Litho. Co., Chicago-Milwaukee, USA. It is the only copy known to have survived to the present day, making it an incredible opportunity for the dedicated collector of General Motors automobiles or significant pieces of automobilia.
