Simpson
1988

During the 1988 season, Senna rewrote the record books en route to his first of three Formula 1 World Championships. His eight wins beat the record of seven held by Jim Clark (1963) and teammate Alain Prost (1984). His 13 pole positions also handily beat the nine by Nelson Piquet (1984).

Offered is a pair of authentic Simpson racing gloves worn by Ayrton Senna that season. Each is signed on the palm and dated “88.” Furthermore, each glove is inscribed with “Ayrton” on the inside of the cuff. The signatures are believed to be authentic.
