The California was launched at the Paris Motor Show in October 2008 and represented a radical new design by Pininfarina. The car featured several firsts for Ferrari road cars, including the front-engined V-8, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, multi-link rear suspension, and folding convertible hardtop.
