In 1970 Pontiac marketed the GTO as “The Humbler” – as in humbling the car next to you in a friendly street race. With the style created by the new Endura nose, it was immediately appealing to the eye. If anything was more humbling than the GTO, it was The Judge. Pontiac considered The Judge to be the “wildest looking package to ever hit the street.”
Running with the desirable Ram Air 400-cid, 366-hp V-8 engine this nicely restored muscle machine has a four-speed manual transmission to back up its performance status. Finished in its correct code 47 Verdoro Green, the interior is also green with bucket seats and console. The optional and sought-after hood tach is in the driver’s line of sight to optimize hitting your shifts at speed. The engine compartment, trunk and undercarriage are equally tidy; additional equipment includes cast “honeycomb” wheels, dual sport mirrors, raised rear spoiler, chin spoiler, Goodyear Polyglas tires, radio; power windows and brakes - plus the special Judge performance touches.
Reliable sources show that only 3,629 Judge Hardtop Coupes were built in 1970, making this Judge quite uncommon.
