Ford introduced its third-generation Thunderbird as a 1961 model displaying a blunt, torpedo-like silhouette and retired the design three years later. The recent restoration work on this 1963 convertible only needs minor detailing to be show quality. The engine compartment has been detailed and a Sports Roadster Package added. Ford’s original sales of the Sports Roadster option were slow because of the high cost and the hard tonneau cover’s complexity. The car comes with a new black soft top and original rebuilt Ford carburetor.
