This is a beautiful example of a Jaguar XKE. Its combination of good looks, high-performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring. To further illustrate this point, in March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in the London Daily Telegraph list of the "100 most beautiful cars" of all time. In 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed the E-Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s. The New York City Museum of Modern Art recognized the significance of the E-Type design in 1996 by adding a roadster to its permanent design collection, one of only six automobiles to receive the distinction.

This particular Roadster has been comprehensively restored and rebuilt by the well-respected Gran Turismo Jaguar (GTJ) group. This may be the ultimate street Jaguar. GTJ made its reputation with Ohio based dealer/Jaguar “guru” Lou Fidanza building and racing his SCCA C-Production Jaguar ‘Ole 19’ with minimal support against well-funded factory teams in SCCA-sanctioned races. All the modifications and testing were handled by the Gran Turismo Jaguar team and with great success, culminating in a Jaguar victory with Freddy Baker driving in the 1980 SCCA National Runoffs over Paul Newman in the Bob Sharp-owned Datsun 280ZX. GTJ established itself as the worlds high performance Jaguar leader.

This car has had a GTJ Level 3 rebuild of an original, 45,000 mile engine, which has a 27 bullet-point list of performance-based parts. The transmission is a GTJ six-speed manual, with GTJ limited-slip modifications and Turismo Traction unit. The brakes and driveline have also been refitted with nothing but the highest quality and performance oriented components that can be imagined. The bodywork, interior, accessories and conveniences have all been given the same attention to detail. Air conditioning and a state of the art stereo/CD system are a great example of the upgrades in this exceptionally well-done car. The wheels are Dayton stainless-steel spoke and tubeless, including the spare. They are fitted with Michelin MXX3 tires, which is an Ultra High Performance Z speed-rated tire for the most demanding owners of the world’s exotic and high performance sports cars.
