According to its British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, numbered HT/2003/7044, this left-hand drive MGA 1600 MK I Roadster was completed on January 7, 1960 and dispatched for the U.S. the next day. Original equipment includes wire-wheels, a heater, tonneau cover and whitewall tires. Today the MGA benefits from a fresh and complete nut-and-bolt restoration. The restoration was completed in 2009, including a complete engine and transmission rebuild, as well as refurbishment of the shock absorbers and the front suspension, all brightwork, instrumentation and a new windscreen. The body displays excellent consistency on its panel lines. While originally painted Dove Grey, the MGA is now finished in Glacier Blue, a factory-correct color from 1955 through 1959. Complemented by a light grey leather-trimmed interior, the car has a light grey top and side curtains and four new tires mounted on a set of new wire-wheels.
As offered, the MGA comes with a selection of tools, a hand-crank, a wire-wheel mounted spare-tire along with a selection of restoration photographs and receipts. With just over 500 miles traveled since completion, this sytlish British sports car is in exceptional condition for driving and showing.
