This model year marked the return of the station wagon to the Oldsmobile lineup after being absent since 1950. The Fiesta had trend-setting design with a low silhouette and sweeping lines. This is a beautiful and elegant example that has no center post between the doors, as seen on its counterpart the Fiesta Sedan Wagon, and it is powered by the Oldsmobile Rocket engine with an automatic transmission. Period advertising claimed that the "Fiesta graces every scene of activity from countryside to country club."
