1960 Dodge Dart Phoenix special orded by Bob Blouch in the summer of 1960 from Don Tennis at Zartman Dodge in Lititz, PA with the Police Package 383-cid high performance engine, heavy duty Borg-Warner T85 three-speed manual transmision, 4.10:1 sure-grip rear end, heavy duty brakes, suspension and wheels. Bob was a 20 year old hot rodder and drag racer who know the 383 shared the same bolt pattern bellhousing wih the Chevrolet Borg-Warner T10 four-speed and ordered one from the Chevrolet dealer when his cars build was confirmed. The car was built on the Dodge main Hamtramck assembly line in Detroit, MI 6/24/60 and delivered in July. The four-speed arrived within a few weeks and was in the car by August.

As a Police Package 383 and 4.10:1 gear ratio was not available to the public, the IBM build card is blank in the engine and rear end columns. The heavy duty manual transmission, only available on "B" series high performance engines is shown in the transmission column. According to retired Chrysler vice-president and D500 Guide author Darrell Davis, Dodge's records indicate 6,383 high performance Darts were built and only one had a manual transmission. Over the five years Bob owned it, he subtlety modified the car and earned great respect from other drivers and racers, both on the streets and drag strips in the area, becoming an area legend.

Bob founded Blouch Trubo in 1980. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2004. His son Bob Jr. operates the business and has an award-winning, beautiful and fast twin-turbo Challenger he shows and races. Mark Eisenhower owned the '60 many years, storing it in a barn outside Hershey, PA in the late '70s. Upon his passing, Dennis Haak purchased the car in '98 and kept it until Oct. 2011. This car was just driven 800 miles to the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, KY. Special thanks to Bob Blouch Jr. and Dale Shuey, Bob's best friend and racing partner, for providing all of their informative help on the history of Bob's "Lebanon Legend".
