270 hp, 283 cu. in. overhead-valve V-8 engine with dual four-barrel carburetors, four-speed manual transmission, front independent A-arm suspension with coil springs and rigid rear axle with semi-elliptic springs, and four-wheel drum brakes. Wheelbase: 102 in.
Finished in Venetian Red with Polo White coves, this is the epitome of ’57 Corvettes. It features wide whitewall bias ply tires fitted with red rims and spinner caps. The beige top is a great choice for contrast and it appears to be in good condition, as does the rear window. The paint finish and brightwork are all equally presentable, showing some minor wear from an older restoration. The engine, a dual-quad 283 is the bonus on this offering, as it remains largely original in presentation, with the exception of some hoses, clamps, and wiring sections. The underside of the roadster also shows signs of an older restoration that has seen some minor road use. Lastly, the interior upholstery presents very nicely with attractive gauges, proper seat covers, door panels, and an aftermarket radio. This ’57 has much to offer, as it is a prime collector’s piece.
