The 2000 Formula 1 season saw Michael Schumacher win his first World Drivers’ Championship with Ferrari (after winning two with Benetton in 1994 and 1995) and Ferrari’s first driver’s title after a 21-year drought. This would be the beginning of Michael’s five-year reign of the pinnacle of motorsport.
Originally offered by Ferrari for a charity auction, this F2000 rear wing end plate, bearing Michael Schumacher’s signature, is one of the rare Scuderia Ferrari pieces accompanied by documentation from the factory certifying its provenance and authenticity. Included is also a second copy of the letter signed by Michael Schumacher’s long-time race engineer, Luca Baldisserri, further confirming its provenance. Taken from the wing of Schumacher’s F2000, this end plate is a significant and verifiable piece of Prancing Horse history and would be a shining addition to any Ferrari collection.
