This delightful Nash is a rarely seen model that has been modified to resemble a custom of the late 1950s and early 1960s. A true slice of Americana, the Nash is all-business in the engine compartment, boasting a 354-cid Chrysler Hemi V-8 engine mated to a 727 automatic transmission. Power steering has been added along with air conditioning and a heating system, and the current owner has most recently invested approximately $4,000 in a new air ride shock system. Handling is assisted via a Camaro front end, while the front body clip is recognizable as it comes from a ’37 Ford.
A Ford nine-inch rear end copes with the Hemi power, while a ’63 Plymouth Valiant gauge cluster adds some 1960s flair to the very colorful interior. The interior additionally features auxiliary gauges, a Competition tach, and a hidden CD stereo overhead.
A set of Rocket Racing five-spoke wheels gives a great period custom look, while the matte light green paint which is “rubbed through” in areas gives a suitably “rat rod” look. An extremely stylish custom throughout, this Nash sounds fantastic and looks like it could have been driven right off the set of American Graffiti.
