For the first time in its history, the bodywork of the 911 underwent fundamental modification. New laws in the United States demanded higher-mounted bumpers capable of withstanding 5-mph impacts without body damage. The front grille was deleted and indicators were incorporated with the bumper.

All the proper boxes were checked for this vehicle: power steering, windows and brakes; air conditioning and an AM/FM radio. This Carrera is equipped with a 2.7-liter, flat six-cylinder air-cooled engine. Standard equipment on all models was a four-speed manual transmission. However, as a factory option, all models could be had with a five-speed manual transmission and that is what this desirable Carrera is equipped with.

Porsche’s interiors were upgraded for added safety. New seats with integrated headrests were combined with automatic safety belts. Also, side defrosters were added to the dashboard. The Carrera was fitted with a three-spoke steering wheel, and on the Carrera Coupe electric windows were standard. This vehicle is upholstered featuring a red interior, while the exterior of the vehicle retains its original vibrant red orange color. Additionally the decals are factory original as well adding the the rarity and desirability.

This Porsche contains independent suspension in the front and rear. The braking system is equipped with four-wheel ventilated disc brakes for a smooth deceleration. The Porsche offered here is an extraordinary piece of machinery recording 0- to 62-mph in 6.3-seconds. The current owner conveys that only 528 of these cars were produced with less than 100 in this particular livery.
