In 1971 Mercedes-Benz introduced the all-new 450SL. This SL was faster than ever before and provided more luxury and improved handling through engineering refinements. 1980 was the last year the SL was available with the 4.5-liter V-8.
This particular 450SL received a $10,000 bare-metal repaint within the last year and presents wonderfully. The dark brown leather interior has very little wear and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. A Becker Mexico AM/FM cassette, air conditioning, power windows, accessory hardtop and soft-top are all included. The odometer has been replaced and currently reads 9,558 miles, but it is believed to have traveled 59,558 from the time of delivery.
