The Bianchina was quite a capable performer, with a top speed of 60-mph and an estimated range of nearly 300 miles. Fuel economy reportedly approached an impressive 50-mpg, and with its limited-production cachet, enthusiasts quickly regarded the Bianchina as the “rich man’s Fiat.” This Italian car is built on a Fiat 500 chassis like the Jolly. It is said that this type of car was built so the Italian family could have a second car at its disposable affordably. This type of Autobianchi was also used in the popular “Pink Panther” movie.
This particular Bianchina is quite rare in the roadster version and is powered by a 427-cc two-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission. Tastefully finished in lavender with a black interior and convertible top, this outstanding Bianchina looks great inside and out, and it is great fun to drive with the large soft-top opened. The brightwork on the car is in outstanding condition, as well as having a solid body, bucket seats and mag-type wheels. This is an excellent example of one of the world's most attractive microcars.
