The design of the Jaguar XK8 is undoubtedly derived from the legendary XK-E body (E-Type) sports car of the ā€˜60s. The XK8 design was unveiled in 1997 and the rear-wheel drive sports Jag intended to improve upon the previous XJS model. Jaguar claimed the XK8 had a 25-percent increase in body stiffness over its predecessor. Additionally, this car was the platform for which Jaguar introduced their newly configured 4.0-liter V-8 engine with twin overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. The novel console-mounted ā€œJā€ gate gives the driver the option of taking control of the gears that control the roaring powerplant, or selecting to enjoy the comfort of an automatic transmission.

On this particular 1998 model, the topaz color complements the bone interior quite nicely. Inside the drop top, one can admire the elegantly crafted burl walnut dash. It is in excellent condition and is well-optioned with a soft-top that comes with glass window and electric defroster with under 28,000 original miles. This notably well-maintained Jaguar is in showroom condition and comes with all original books and two sets of keys. This is a great opportunity to own a superb Jaguar convertible modeled after the renowned E-Type.
