1926 Ace 1000cc in line four cylinder. One of the most elegant of all early American motorcycles. The Ace four cylinder was the spin off company after the Henderson brothers sold their name sake company to Ignaz Schwinn in the early 1920's. The brothers, after only a short period of time, sold the Ace company to the Indian Motorcycle Company in the late 1920's. After the sale to Indian, the Ace was then transformed in to what we know today as the highly collectable Indian four cylinder. This example was brought back to life in the mid 1980's by Richard Morris using mostly all original Ace components. Excellent running motor built by the famous Ken Young Sr. utilizing the more rigid Indian 402 five main crankshaft low end. Show or go, this beautiful Ace holds it's own at any high end concourse or classic motorcycle rally.
