This example we have the pleasure of presenting here began life as standard Sport Coupe before it underwent a complete transformation by B&E Customs in Chatsworth, CA. As a blank canvas, the top was removed and its body and doors were sculpted, and a roadster windshield that was cut down by four inches was added. To its body, a '40 Ford dash was installed and a '37 Ford pickup grille rounded out the front, while a louvered trunk lid finished out the rear. The Ford rests on '32 rails that have been both narrowed and Z'd. The cabin is appointed with hand-riveted aluminum interior panels with rich leather-wrapped bomber seats. All the parts on this vehicle are genuine Ford while its power plant contrastingly consists of a 350-cid Chevrolet engine with period Oldsmobile valve covers and a Cadillac air cleaner, giving it the best of many worlds combined. The car was built with the 1950s track roadster look as the inspiration.
