This car is a modern interpretation of the classic Ford highboy roadster. Built by John
Dianna, former manager at Petersen Publishing. It is built on a custom tube chassis, using a lightened Ford beam front axle and a trailing arm coil-over-shock arrangement at the rear. To keep it all-Ford, Dianna chose a 302 small-block engine and mounted dual Edelbrock quad carburetors. The transmission is a C-4 three-speed automatic. The maroon body has a delicate straw pinstripe. Alloy knock-off wheels are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion blackwall tires, 8.90-16 at the rear and 5.00-15 in front.
The cockpit is nothing short of luxurious. Soft tan leather abounds, on seats, doors and kick panels. The dashboard is body color, with oval instrument binnacle holding red-on-cream Classic Instruments gauges. Additionally this spectacular car was featured in Street Rod Builder magazine in October 2005.
