Chassis no. LLCC90

Engine no. LC89C

6,230-cc, 200-hp (est) OHV V-8 engine, four-speed automatic transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel servo-assisted hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 127-inches.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II represented the first appearance of the new all-aluminum V-8 engine. Bodies were the same Standard Steel unit from the Silver Cloud I, but a few were given a longer, 127-inch wheelbase, the stretch performed by coachbuilder Park Ward.

Originally delivered by Franco-Brittannic Autos, the Parisian distributor, this left-hand drive car was repatriated to the United Kingdom in 1996, at which time it was issued the age-related Radnorshire number RFO 453 by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. An accompanying V5 form to that effect will ensure that the number can be recovered by a future British owner.

One of 299 long-wheelbase Silver Cloud IIs, it is painted in two shades of green. Contours are excellent and the paint is very good. The brightwork, however, shows some age. The green leather interior is very good, and equipped with power windows and a Voxson Stereo 8, eight-track/longwave/AM audio system, surely quite unusual in a Rolls-Royce. There is a division partition with electric window. The burl walnut dashboard is very nice, and the headliner is tan cloth. A particularly desirable example of the rare long-wheelbase Silver Cloud II, this car is sure to please.
