The 1958 through 1960 Lincolns and Lincoln Continentals were the most massive American passenger cars produced since World War II, built on a 131-inch wheelbase with an overall length of 229-inches. The Mark III convertible tips the scales at an impressive 4,928 pounds. Only 3,048 were produced.
This Continental Mark III will require cosmetic and mechanical work and with a creasing dent to the left headlight nacelle, it carries an old paint job with pits and the fiberglass parade boot is badly cracked. Still, a black panther motif on the seats will peak curious collectors’ interest to the car’s past. Whatever its history, it will need full restoration.
