American Motors’ Pacer was intended as designer Richard Teague’s forward-looking car of the future. With asymmetric doors and a greenhouse with vast glass, it drew plaudits at its introduction. Originally planning to use a compact Wankel rotary engine, it was reconfigured for a Rambler six when General Motors halted American Wankel development.
This Pacer is an excellent, low-mileage example, with just 23,000 miles showing. Equipped with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, windshield washers and an AM radio, it has B.F Goodrich Radial T/A blackwall tires on chrome rims.
