It is completed to replicate car number 670005; the first Jaguar imported to the United States in 1950.

The 3,442-cc, 160-hp DOHC inline six-cylinder engine has a new ignition system, rebuilt original SU carbs, new generator and voltage regulator, rebuilt original water pump, original radiator that has been cleaned and tested, new speedometer and tachometer cables, new harmonic balancer, new motor mounts, new electric fuel pump and new battery. The Jaguar also has a new replacement intake manifold.

The car has new rear springs and rebuilt original lever arm shocks. Front end suspension and steering has been redone with new tie-rods, bushings, ball-joints and new GAZ adjustable shocks. Additionally the roadster has received new brake master cylinders, new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes and new brake hoses. The steel-disc wheels are fitted with period correct Universal tires. The instrumentation is original to the car and they are rebuilt. In the trunk of this highly-detailed example is the original jack and lug wrench.

The transmission seals have all been replaced; furthermore the transmission is cleaned and the spring tensioners adjusted. The case is held with new transmission mounts.

This particular car is being offered by the second owner, having purchased it from the estate of the original owner in August 2008. It was originally purchased from the renowned Max Hoffman dealership in New York.

Stunning in all respects, it presents beautifully in show-quality condition, complete with its proper steel disc-wheels and spats; highlighting the rakish body design in its purest form.
