The restoration on this lovely 1939 Ford Deluxe Station Wagon was completed approximately five years ago to a high standard. The condition remains absolutely excellent having been driven less than 100 miles since this process was completed.

The wagon is powered by a 276-cid Mercury BA8 V-8 flathead engine that is connected to a three-speed column-shift manual transmission and a Columbia two-speed rear end. The engine has a three-quarter cam, Offenhauser heads and a two by two intake manifold for its dual carb setup.

The interior features leather and abundant amounts of finished wood to create an inviting environment. The woodwork has been completely redone, and the owner states that 75-percent of the wood framing is original to this car. The woodie has been fitted with all new glass and the dashboard has also all new wood graining. The car has a banjo steering wheel that was standard on the Deluxe model. Dual side mirrors are also present.

The car has been built to be driven and has been equipped with seatbelts throughout. The Ford rides on new Coker radial whitewall tires. The wheels are fitted with factory hubcaps. The owner states that this gracious agent of hospitality is a “beautiful running and driving vehicle” and that the 1939 Ford Woodie is the most sought after of this popular model of car.
