William C. Durant established Durant Motors in 1921. Having had prior success in the auto industry creating General Motors, Durant was poised to do so again with his fledgling Durant Motors. Like his time at GM, Durant built a portfolio of cars which included Star – to compete with Model T, Flint – to compete with Buick, Durant – to compete with Oakland, and Locomobile as the top-of-the-line offering. The company saw success in the 1920s, but fell victim to Durant overextending the company, the same mistake that led to his demise at GM. That, paired with the Great Depression essentially led to the company’s failure. In 1933 Durant Motors was liquidated.

1922 Marked the first year of Durant production. Durant offered two models in 1922, the Model A-22 which featured a four-cylinder 35-hp engine, and the Model B-22 which featured a six-cylinder 70-hp engine. The Model A-22 was offered in three configurations five-passenger touring, four-passenger coupe, and five-passenger sedan.

This 1922 Model A-22 Touring is presented with a blue exterior and interior. This car is powered by the 34-hp four-cylinder engine with a manual transmission. The car features a 109-inch wheelbase. There is no rust or damage on the car, it was restored pre-1964 and always stored indoors.
