Along with the ‘64-70 Triumphs, the 1967 Bonneville stands out as one of the “must-have British classics” and a thoroughly ridable/enjoyable road machine. The big news for the ’67 model year Triumph Bonneville was the switch from Amal Monobloc carburetors to 30-mm Amal Concentrics and now with the convenience of a choke lever.

In the gearbox for ‘67 there was a new 2nd-gear shift fork and a near-total conversion over from British Standard threads to Unified (American) threads, thus preventing some tool confusion. More exciting was the Smiths magnetic speedometer which now went to 150-mph. There was a change in the bike’s seat, narrower to match the tank and with a slight bump for the passenger plus “tuck and roll” ribbing on the upholstery, again continuing fine tuning refinements on one of the world’s most popular motorcycles.

This restored example from the Baker Collection is dressed in factory Aubergine & Alaskan White and appears “as new” and ready with minimal effort to take back the streets.
