The second example of the rare M23 Silver Star bears engine serial numbers prefixed with KB and thus clearly indicative of a 1940 production date, although it carries a 1939 title because new models for 1940 were introduced in the previous August or September. Again it is another fine example of a rare machine produced in England just on the cusp of the Second World War.
In this case it wears a solo sprung seat. It also shows well, trim and fit via an earlier restoration. Another fine machine from the Baker Collection, with minimal preparation will no doubt fire up and ready to go thumping down the open road.
