In 1940 as war began Triumph had to curtail its production of a proposed all new 350-cc vertical twin, but by 1946 with their newly minted post-war plant at Meriden they were ready to re-launch the machine as the Triumph 3T.
This 1946 model came with newly added telescopic forks, separate magneto and generator. From the Baker Collection and displaying a quality restoration, this handsome, roadworthy “Trumpet” shows an odometer reading of a tad more than one mile. It also wears its original number plate and VAT certification for 1946.
