Cadillac was closing in on its first 200,000 car year for calendar year 1963, breaking the previous record it seemed year after year. Cadillac’s fresh, all-new styling in 1963 abandoned the previous highly sculptured and beveled look for a crisper, cleaner appearance. There were lots of flat surfaces and a near vertical front and rear end treatment. A tasteful facelift brought a new front bumper and grille along with more integrated taillight housing within the slim line fin. The side contours of the car also reflected the ‘thinner’ 1960s look. As expected, this lovely Park Avenue Sedan DeVille is fully equipped from the factory with such amenities as power windows, Autronic-Eye, power brakes and steering. The Park Avenue was specially designed with a shorter rear deck and subsequent less over-all length – but with full Cadillac interior roominess – the Park Avenue maneuvers to the envy of many smaller cars. The silver-green upholstery is in great shape and stands out against the Ebony exterior. The overall fit and finish is that of a low mileage, well-preserved automobile to be enjoyed immediately.
